After graduating from law school, Thomas took the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar Exams over the course of three consecutive days and passed both exams on his first attempt. He served as a law clerk for the Hon. John A. Ricciardi at the Monmouth County Courthouse, in Freehold, New Jersey. In 1990, Thomas joined the firm as an associate and started his career in private practice by defending a large labor union for several years in a complex civil case, which involved claims based upon civil RICO, anti-trust and negligent supervision. Thereafter, he began handling various other types of cases for the firm, including personal injury claims, workers compensation cases, divorce actions, estate litigation matters and contractual disputes. In 2004, Thomas was named a partner in the firm. Subsequently, in 2011, Thomas earned an LL.M. in estate planning and elder law and proceeded to expand his practice to include the preparation of wills, codicils, trusts, amendments to trusts, powers of attorney, and living wills. Thomas has over three decades of experience in civil litigation and more than a decade of experience in estate planning.
